Sun and Stars
The Sun is a star and is based at the centre of our solar system. It is huge and has a big mass. This means that it's gravity is very strong and holds all of the planets in. The sun and other stars give out massive amounts of light and heat. A galaxy is a large collection of stars and a universe is a large collection of galaxies. Our galaxy is called the Milkyway. A lightyear is a unit of travel and is how far light travels in one year. The definition of a star is: a fixed luminous point in the night sky which is a large, remote incandescent body like the sun.
